Gene Nelson

During my Senior year, I skipped school on Monday and Friday each week and drove a trash truck.

After graduation, I drove a concrete truck.

I went to nightschool and got a job with the U.S. Marshal's office transporting prisoners.       The U.S. Marshal's office later got me a job at the Post Office---it was all Civil Service with such low pay, though.

Because of this, I worked part time starting up a tree trimming service, which I had for 36 years.       I also was in partnership in a construction company building new homes.      Among my regular workers was my brother, his two sons and daughter, and his grandsons.

In 2002 I gave the trucks and business to my nephews and moved to Beverly Hills, Florida, which is on the Gulf Coast.

Now, I golf and fish----what an easy life, except my wife, Judy, keeps outscoring me.    OH MY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
